Our holiday park is in walking distance to the beach and even closer to the Waikato River. It is approximately 1.5km (1500 metres) from Sunset Beach and 450m from the Waikato River at Maraetai Bay Reserve.

Yes! We are dog friendly and do allow pets by prior arrangement in our camp sites. We do not allow pets in our accommodation and communal buildings. Please familiarise yourself with our pet policy.

The nearest supermarket and petrol stations are in Tuakau. If you are looking for a large supermarket, Pokeno has a Countdown. There is a small dairy store in Port Waikato with limited supplies.
We do not currently sell food at the Holiday Park. Sunset Takeaways food truck is located at the front of our park and is open Thursday to Sunday from 4pm-7pm. There is a small coffee shop at Sunset Beach carpark which is open Wednesday to Sunday 10am-2pm during the warmer months.
If you are not staying in our self-contained accommodation (those with kitchen and bathroom facilities) then you will need to bring blankets and towels. A bottom sheet, pillow and case is provided in all standard and superior cabins. If you have booked a powered or non-powered site you will need to provide these yourself. We do hire blankets and towels at our reception.

Our check-in time is from 2pm to 5pm. Earlier check-in’s will require pre-approval and are dependent on availability, there is a $25 fee for early check-in’s if approved. If you will be arriving after hours, please contact our reception to arrange a later check-in.
You must be checked-out by 10am. Late check-out’s require pre-approval and are dependent on availability, there is a $25 fee for late check-out’s if approved.

Yes! You can bring your own gas barbeque, we do not allow barbecues under trees or close to tree areas or on the decks of our accommodation or communal areas. No open flames (including charcoal barbecues/grills) or accelerants are allowed.

Yes, you can bring these to the park, however they are strictly not to be ridden in the park grounds.

We do not sell alcohol at our holiday park. Alcohol is regulated within the park. Please read our rules and regulations.
Visitors are allowed to visit guests during visiting hours for no longer than 2 hours between the times of 9am and 7pm. All visitors must check-in or be checked in at reception before 5pm. Visitors are not permitted to consume alcohol on park grounds. If staying longer than 2hrs a Day Pass is required. The fee for a Day Pass is $10 per person. No visitors are permitted to stay in the park later than 7pm. Visitors are our guests responsibility and must adhere to the rules and regulations.

The allocated number of vehicle spaces for 1 Bedroom Motels, Ensuite, Standard and Superior cabins is 1 vehicle per cabin, 2 vehicles per 2 bedroom and 3 vehicles per 3 bedroom accommodation. The number of vehicles per camp site is dependent on the space available on your site but is more suited to 1 vehicle per site. Please speak to our reception staff if you have other needs or inquiries, we may make allowances if space is available.
