Kitchen Facilities

We have a fully equipped and spacious kitchen for you to use including fridges, freezers and microwave ovens.

Stop eating from that pot lid!

Our kitchens also have an assortment of plates, cups and cutlery for you to freely use in the communal cupboard otherwise you can find more cutlery, pots and an assortment of cooking utensils at the main office. You will be asked for a small bond for borrowing these, you will get a full refund on return of our property.

BBQ

For some alfresco cooking there is a BBQ area with a free electric BBQ and picnic table outside the park kitchen. So don your apron, arm yourself with BBQ tools and celebrate in true kiwi summer style anytime of the year.

Another free BBQ area has been supplied close to the tenting area. There are 3 large BBQ tables situated under trees for your enjoyment.

When using BBQs (the ones from the park's BBQ areas or your own), NO ACCELERANT PERMITTED.

Due to OSH REGULATIONS the use of PERSONAL GAS BOTTLES IS NOT PERMITTED.

Shower Blocks

There are clean and tidy his and her toilet and shower blocks with piped music to hum along to while you do what you do. The hot showers are now free so enjoy a 7 min shower on us.

Laundry

We have laundry facilities for you to use at your convenience. There are both coin operated washers and dryers available so you can get your clothes clean and dry, rain or shine. washing machines are $3 per cycle and the dryers are $2 for 45 mins cheap as chips!

Gone Fishing

From the boat or the beach Port Waikato is a great spot to throw in your line and catch your supper.
We also have room for boat and tractor parking.

Playground

We have a new playground opened for children to enjoy, let your childrens imagination run wild and free, suitable ages up to 14 years.

Trike Hire

Kids love these low rider trikes, and on occasion, some bigger kids do too. Grab a couple and race each other around our spacious camp grounds. Loads of fun and a great thigh work out too.

Freeview TV / Dining / Lounge Room

Enjoy a movie or sports or just relax with the other campers.There is Free Sky channels available, couches to blob out on and dining tables. The spacious deck out front is a great place to congregate.

Internet & Wireless Access

Should you need to make contact with the civilized world, we have 2 computers set up in the lounge room for your use. Wireless coverage in most of the Park when connecting to “IAC Port Waikato Hotspot”. IAC recharge cards available for purchase at reception.
